DT Research designed and manufactured the rugged convertible laptop that converts into a tablet specifically to meet space constraints for naval ships and aircraft.
The convertible laptop tablet is a unique, one-of-a-kind tablet that can be used as a laptop with a keyboard, but can be quickly converted into a tablet when needed for tight fitting spaces. Central command rooms, engine rooms, flight decks and cockpits are places where due to space constraints, a tablet may be the preferred technology choice to be able to troubleshoot problems, record data, or communicate with other team members on the network in real-time.
This 2-in-1 mobile device is operable in maintenance repair situations when working on repairing a ship, specifically designed to fit in those “tight spaces” where a typical computer or laptop can not meet all the needs. The convertible laptop easily, and effortlessly can be switched from a laptop to a tablet with ease and can be used as a handheld tablet providing functionality in almost any environment or situation.
Convertible Laptop Turned Tablet
The convertible laptop computer has a 360 screen rotation featuring a hinge design that allows for rotating the keyboard portion through 360 degrees, out of the way back behind the screen. This design is specifically efficient if moving from a larger space where you are using a laptop, to a tighter space where a tablet is needed, the change can be made quickly with minimal effort.
Seamless Data Capture
The LT300 series convertible laptop tablets are built with a front 4G camera that can be used to capture data into the tablet perfect for taking images, video conferencing, also allowing for facial recognition for advanced security features. For example, while a ship is being repaired while in active duty, the repair team member can be video conferencing with a team member back at base to help troubleshoot the problem.
Military-Grade Durability
Convertible laptops deliver a military standard IP65-rating for water and dust resistance; MIL-STD-810G/H for shock and vibration protection; MIL-STD-461F for EMI and EMC tolerance; and are HERO (Hazard of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance) tested. Designed and tested to perform in harsh environments and climates, proving to be reliable and durable withstanding extreme weather conditions or environments where high vibrations exist.
